Yuletide greetings..and such

And so December begins. It's 60 degrees....tis the season.

Hello Lily.....

I made it alive a whole day without sinus medicine.

12-2
This evening after dinner (semi-decent enchiladas I made for the first time), Rebecca and I went walking.

We either walked on the track or had an epileptic seizure

Lily peed on her daddy. Classic.

12-3
It's 70 degrees at 7am in December. *vomit sound*

12-4
This was just a hectic no good day. I woke up in plenty of time to have a sane morning, but when I got in the shower, I kept saying "one more minute", and the next thing I know it's 6:15 and I have exactly 15 minutes to leave so I can get to work on time. In 15 minutes I got dressed, did my hair, makeup, brushed my teeth, cooked my breakfast, fixed my lunch, located my laptop, phone, Kindle, and chargers for all, fixed a to-go water cup, all while the 2 animals made every step I made. Work was busy, I didn't leave until after 4, then we had to go get groceries, and more importantly, Midol, finally getting home after 6. I changed clothes, abandoning Scott to put up the groceries and cook dinner, went walking, kissed Lily's head, came home, ate, and then contemplated laundry and dishes. I started one load of laundry then sprawled across the bed, just trying to breathe for a minute. Apart from putting the clothes in the dryer, I didn't move. However, this was at 9:30pm. Fast forward 5 hours and I am still awake. I was so sleepy my eyes would not open, but with Scott snoring, the dog barking at who knows what, I kept trying to sleep in every room. the bedroom was out because that is were Scott was snoring, and Callie was on the other end barking like mad, so when I finally got her quiet and I am almost asleep on the loveseat, the cat started meowing non stop. I just started to cry, I had no where to go, and I had to get up in 2 hours.

12-5
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY!!!!!!! She is 16 today. Completely unreal. I know everyone says "oh I can't believe how much they've grown", but this is for real. 16. I still think of her as 2 years old.

12-6
45 degree temperature drop. I think we just need a room with air conditioning and a room with a heater. Every two days or so, rotate rooms.

This is what happens when you sit down with any type of food:

12-7
Snow on the ground. Meh.

12-8
I should probably begin Christmas shopping. Meh.

12-9
This is an example on how lazy clever I am. While doing laundry, I always throw the to-be-folded clothes on the bed. Then when I go to bed, I am like "omg why are those clothes there, I am sleepy?". So..I put them on a duvet that Scott refers to as "it's so cold and my wife won't let me turn on the heat so I need this extra duvet so my feet don't freeze off".
So now that's it's bedtime, and I know I am not going to touch those tonight. Boom. Wrap them up in the duvet, stick them on the floor.
Now Scott will just have to go to his backup-backup duvet for his heating needs, and tomorrow, BOOM, put them back on the bed. One day they will get to the closet where they belong.

12-10
Christmas party at work. There was dip. *fanfare*

12-11
Another "Scott and Lisa bedtime conversation"
*I was going over the grocery list in my head*
Me: Do you think we need to get more Velveeta and another onion?
Scott: No, I think they're fine. Velveeta never goes bad.
Me: Sure it does.
Scott: No, it's processed. Not even real cheese.
Me: It feels real, Scott.
Scott: No, I mean...
Me: I BELIEVE IT'S REAL!!

And then we went to sleep.

12-12
Payday!!! I got more Lily snuggles. Dinner with Scott and Kayla at Cane River Bar and Grill. There was gluttony involved.

12-13
SO yeah...I dyed my hair. Same brand, box, and color as always.

How am I supposed to go in public?? Tonight is Lily's baby shower!!
Absolutely nothing against blondes, but I am not one!!!!

Here are some shower pics:

12-14
Jinkies I am tired. Spent ALL day ALL over Alexandria with Scott and Bailey. Spent ALL the money!!!!
Christmas shopping= maybe halfway done.
Fail.

12-15
Last night when Bailey and I were unpacking all the crap gifts we bought, Scott insisted we take a picture in front of the tree. First of all, you can't see the tree behind our bods, and my hair was a mess. But like he said, "it's how I see you all the time!!" So here you go. Christmas Time, 2013:

Christmas is on it's way people!!!!

The Facebook Awards, 2013 edition

I mean...if you're not my Facebook friend, you are missing out!!!!

Per the Facebook, these were my top moments in 2013.

Get your smelling salts ready.

It was indeed a very long, hot & sweaty work day.

The first time I was her passenger.

Our lives changed so much in 5 weeks....

It was indeed a grand birthday. It got better the following day.. :)

We didn't realize we were all in black until Miss Courtney pointed it out, and graciously took our picture.

It was one of the hottest days of the year, and one of the worst headaches of the year. Who gets married in 100 degree weather? I am looking at YOU, Brandy!!!

So there you go. I kind of wish Twitter broke it down for me like Facebook, because I am much more active on there, however, it is not exactly PG language when I get on a sports tirade.

I hope you life is fulfilled now.

November end 2013, Lily, and where I almost died.

Nov 16-

Rainy, muggy off day.
Spent most of the day cleaning out my spare room, which was the perfect reason to drag out all of the Christmas stuff. The tree is out of the box, just not set up or decorated it. It's a trial run to see what the stupid cat is going to do to it. So far, she has left it alone.

My good thing: Steak for dinner
My bad thing: I am sick of being sick.

Nov 17-
Work day. Still muggy and rainy. Not a fan of the a/c running for 2 days then tomorrow I will have to turn the heat on. No wonder my sinuses are in shock.

Nov 18-
Worst work day in recent memory.
You know what made it worthwhile? Lily is coming home tomorrow!!!!!

Nov 19-
Guess who came home today!!!!!
Her first car ride.

Her 1st bath...

Of course she cried when I held her

She finally calmed down

The first time Mother got to hold her

I couldn't stop snuggling with her

Her adorable tutu

Her face smooshed...it's perfect

And Bailey's first time hold her.

We are so whipped.
All above is My good thing
My bad thing: Scott and I went to bed at 5:30pm sick. It sucks.

Nov 20-
Easy work day, went to see Lily when I got off

Not much else besides Jambalaya for dinner and cleaning house.

My good thing:

My bad thing: I feel like I am getting a sinus infection

Nov 21-

My good thing:

My bad thing: Sinus medicine dropped kicked my butt.

Nov 22-
We had our Thanksgiving Dinner at work. I stuffed face.
Bailey came to decorate my tree:

My good thing: green. bean. casserole.
My bad thing: I was coerced into eating a piece of strawberry cake.

Nov 23-
My good thing: I didn't die.
My bad thing: I feel like I am going to die.

Nov 24-
yo!! Guess who got a new follower on Twitter? That's right:

Scott Grimes

I remember being super young and watching him in the movie Frog. Then throughout my teens I made sure I saw him in everything I could. When Party of Five came on, he was Will, which made me happy in the pants. I recently saw him on Criminal Minds and NCIS:LA. I saw where he was tweeting, so I asked him a question regarding NCIS:LA, and he followed me!! I possibly squealed like a small child.

My good thing: ^ ^ ^
My bad thing: I had a sore throat and the sniffles, so I had to skip on the Lily snuggles.

Nov 25-
Sick. Hate everything.

Nov 26-
They sent me home from work today. I felt like a kid with detention. So I was snotting all over the place? So I was whining with a wet rag over my face? Big whoop.

My good thing: I discovered nasal spray. Gold from the gods.
My bad thing: I think I died.

Nov 27-
Okay, so I am going to live.
I celebrated by eating an entire bag of Cheese Puffs.

This has not been a good week for me to drive. I fell on the way to the truck when I slipped in ice, then driving to work another car came into my lane and we both had to stand in the freezing rain to make sure her vehicle was okay to drive when she went off the road (I spent the entire day soaking wet feeling like a yard dog), then when I was going to the bank I turned into my empty lane, but the car in the other lane decided to change lanes while I was turning and almost plowed into me. I....could be dead. Again.

My good thing: Pay day!!!
My bad thing: Bill week!!

Nov 28-
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Spent the day with the fam.

Nov 29-
I got up at 7am and sat at the kitchen table with my Kindle and books all day. I do mean all day.
I suppose that is my good and bad thing, because I accomplished nothing, yet I was content with that.

Nov 30-
Not much different than yesterday, I just substituted the table for the bed, and books for DVD's. I did go see Lily for a smidge.

Unleashed (A Sydney Rye Novel, #1)Unleashed by Emily Kimelman

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book took me 3 months to read, and for a Kindle book, that is a long time. I really liked the main character, her attitude and way of thinking reminds me of myself. The story was good, but sometimes I would have to reread a passage because my mind would wander elsewhere.

**shrugs** It was not a bad story, but nothing new.

Taboo (CSI Reilly Steel, #1)Taboo by Casey Hill

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is liked. I know I read tons of books about forensic crimes scenes, and detectives, and serial killers, and forensic anthropologists, and medical examiners, so it takes a very unique book to stand out among all the rest. This was good. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

Alabama lost to Auburn. Somebody got their panties in a twist.

Good day.
